It measures approximately

Inches. The officer on the photograph is senior politruk Ivan Osipovich Potyomkin. During WWII he served in 473rd Mortar Regiment was awarded the order of the Red Star, For Combat Services medal, order of the Great Patriotic War 2nd Class, and victory over Japan medal (see screenshot 1).
He was awarded the
order of the Great Patriotic War 2nd Class for: Serving as deputy regiment commander in of the 473rd mortar regiment during the offensive battles against Japanese Imperialists he mobilized all of the political-party apparatus as well as all the regiment personnel to attack on the enemy defense lines near the "Camel" height to breach the second defense line of the enemy. Amon personnel, he developed hatred towards Japanese Samurais and loyalty in the name of our motherland, giving the life of the party organizer of the 5th battery in the name of our motherland during the capture of the mountain "Camel". On August 13th, 1945, with his
resourcefulness
and courage he mobilized his personnel and reflected an attack of the Japanese death row. (see screenshot 2)
