Original vintage photographs. They
measure approximately

nches. These photographs are of Peter Gerasimovich Polivtsev. The photographs show him when he was an Air Force major and then colonel. During WWII he was an instructor and commander in a "correctional" aviation unit. His unit's job was to send planes into the air and correct artillery fire from the air, often these planes did not have cover of fighter planes. Because of his work, his unit became more effective and suffered less losses while improving the interaction with artillery units. He also took part in a conflict with RKKA and China in 1929.
