    Description

I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world.  Please see my other offerings and thanks for stopping by!
    ABOUT:
Very pretty deep russet reddish brown carnelian signet ring in a cushioned rectangular shape with clipped corners and smooth flat top bezel set into the 8k gold setting.  Chunky and large piece with banded shoulders. Nice patina.
The piece really has an antique look when worn.
The ring is a size 11 so it may have originally been a Gent's ring.  Perhaps show photos to your local jeweler to get their recommendation on sizing.  The band is nice and  thick all the way around.  Antique Box not included.
I acquired this piece in Europe, as such it is marked 333 which is the numerical system they use for 8k gold, which is the standard there.  Though it is a lower carat, it is real gold so it will not flake away or chip or show underlying layers over time like a gold filled or gold plated piece would.
    MEASUREMENTS:
Currently measures about a size 11.  The carnelian is about 16mmx14mm. It weighs a very sturdy 4.7grams.
    CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition.  No chips or cracks but the smooth mirrored top has fine scratches from wear and occasionally a somewhat cloudy like finish when studied really close up in a reflection.  Still has a nice polish and sheen though with pretty coloring and wears well, it's just when you really study the surface of the stone close up and at angle that you can see it.  Surface wear to the gold from over the years but still very pretty!  Some patina but many of my buyers have told me they prefer it so I didn't want to polish it.  But my disclaimer with all my antique pieces - this is not a mint condition item.
Very interesting piece from a very special era.  I enjoy making my customers happy and matching unique pieces with new homes.  Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!  It means a lot to me that you are visiting my shop! : )
