Coliform (and E. coli) are common contaminants of wells. Nitrate and nitrate are also of concern. Leaky septic systems, broken casings, damaged well cap and agricultural run-off create these problems. You'll be able to see if your well water is highly acidic and damaging the plumbing. Rotten eggs odors caused by sulfur along with manganese can be tested.
