Description
Offered today is a gorgeous, true antique solid platinum Art Deco era (1920s - 1930s) aquamarine, diamond and sapphire cocktail or engagement ring.  It is in impeccable condition for its age, and is NOT a reproduction.  I called it a semi-mount also, because it would be perfect for switching out the aquamarine and putting a big honkin' diamond in there--how beautiful would that be!  And the prongs on this ring were just re-tipped....
The mounting is very ornate, with lots of beautiful detail.  The shoulders have crisp "feathering", and the domed head is constructed with hand-carved dense filigree scrollwork.  Calibre' (French) cut faceted sapphires and sparkling diamonds alternately decorate the head all the way around.  The four single cut diamonds are approximately .02 ct each.
The center stone is a pale color round old-cut aquamarine, measuring 5.8 mm (about .70 ct).  The prongs have been refurbished on this ring, and hold the aquamarine securely.  It is not damaged in any way.
I have shown this ring with a contour curved diamond band in the photos, to show you what it would look like worn as an engagement ring, with a band.  BAND IN PHOTOS IS NOT INCLUDED.
The head measures 3/8" north to south, and rises 1/4" off the finger.  It is hallmarked Platinum inside the shank.  It weighs 3.6 grams, is a size 6.25, and is in excellent vintage condition.  DISPLAY BOX IN PHOTOS IS NOT INCLUDED.
