Vintage Copper Pan Lid H. POMMIER BRUXELLES

Description

This vintage copper pan lid is marked H. POMMIER BRUXELLES and the size 16 cm. or roughly 7 ". The diameter of the part that fits in the pan is 6 1/4" . It fits perfectly on a 6 1/2" pan . The copper is beautifully hand hammered . A dot in the center shows where the coppersmith placed his compass to cut a perfect circle.  The handle is wrought-iron and is tightly attached with 2 raised copper rivets that are hammered flat on the inside. The tin lining is worn a bit on the edges and has dripped on the back of the handle. The copper is thick and has a good weight of 1 lb. 12 oz. The condition is good with no noticeable dents or warping on the rim.  The house of POMMIER is famous for its exceptional quality. The weight, balance and grip say it all. Thank you for looking.
