Vintage Copper Pan and Lid. Lined, Shallow, Copper Skillet. Copper Sauté Pan.

Description

This is a lovely, vintage, heavy, French copper, double handled, sauté/skillet pan with lid.
It has a genuine, authentic patina from 'by-gone' times and oozes style.
The lid fits perfectly snugly, it has a slight dent in the edge, but this doesn't effect it's integrity at all.
There is wear to the lining (see last photo). I've not tried to clean it up, as I love the vintage, 'aged to perfection' look that the slightly tarnished copper has for authenticity. As with all vintage copper, it has some discoloration, and light, surface scratches, consistent with use and signs of verdigris in the grooves and indentations.
It has many years of service yet to offer.
The pan measures 20.5cms/ 8" diameter and is 5.5cms/ 2¼" deep, 26cms/ 10¼" wide, to the handles.
It is 2mm thick.
The lid is 22cms/ 8½" diameter.
Together it weighs 1.5kg/ 3.3 lbs.
*Please note I am selling this copper pan as a decorative item for farmhouse and country kitchens, I cannot guarantee its use as cookware, as I have no experience of cooking with copper and cannot offer advice on this.
