vintage 2 1876 Handwritten Letters ephemera

Listed for sale are two very old letters ephemera, I think that both of them are dated 1876?  One was to Dear Cousin Carrie; another one My dearest Cousin Carrie; they are both quite long,one is in an envelope, no stamp, sent to someone in New Jersey, stamped from Washington DC., the corner of the address area is cut out of the envelope.
