is a very pretty solid 14k rose gold vintage blue topaz solitaire ring.  This stone has an old but fancy cut--look at the facets on the sides of the stone and the higher table--I'm not sure what this cut is called but it's different--not a modern emerald cut stone--it's so pretty!
The blue topaz is a clear steely blue color.  It measures 10 x 8 mm (about 4.00 carats) and is set in four photo frame corner prongs in the center of this fairly simplistic vintage mounting.  Under a 10 power loupe, a couple of small "flea bites" can be seen on the table, but they are not visible to the naked eye and do not detract from the beauty of the ring.
The face measures 3/8" north to south and the head rises 1/4" off the hand.  It is hallmarked 14k, weighs 2.3 grams, is a size 6, and can be sized by any competent jeweler.  This lovely blue topaz ring is in very good vintage condition.
