UNUSUAL & NEAT ANTIQUE COPPER BAKING-ROASTING PAN - WITH IRON SUPPORTING BANDS

Description

This neat copper roasting pan is in very good condition. It is very unusual in that it has 2 supporting long iron bands of 11” each that are riveted to the bottom of the pan (see photo). These bands were useful to protect the bottom of the pan when moving it back and forth on an iron grate. This pan is 16” in length, excluding the brass handle; 18” in length, including the brass handle; 10 1/4” wide; 3” high; and weighs  4 1/8 pounds. It is well made; has a rolled rim, and is lacquered. Because of the design of the brass handle, I believe it is either French or English. It would require re-tinning for actual use. It is also a neat conversation piece.
