    Description

Slice brings our patent-pending finger-friendly edge to seam ripper blades in the 10536 (rounded tip) and 10537 (pointed tip) blades. This edge features a unique grind that creates true safety blades: they cut materials effectively but are safe to the touch. And because our advanced ceramic blades have superior wear resistance, they last up to 11 times longer than comparable steel blades. The 10537 blade has a pointed tip to slip into very small stitches. As with all Slice blades, the 10537 is non-conductive, non-magnetic, easy to clean, and never rusts. It glides smoothly between stitches and cuts without tugging at the surrounding fabric. Slice 10536 and 10537 blades were designed for the 10596 (manual retraction) and 10597 (automatic retraction) seam ripper models, but they also fit in several craft handles, allowing you to choose the best combination for your needs. Our seam ripper blades are compatible with both our craft knife models (10548 and 10589), our replaceable-blade scalpel (10568), and the shorter Precision Knife, with its unique handle (10580). These handle options—all of them ergonomic and compatible for right- and left-handed use—open up possibilities for our seam ripper blades. Not only will they be indispensable blades for tailors, seamstresses, and designers, but sculptors, fine artists, lab technicians, and manufacturing workers all have new ways to use these precision tools for delicate work. As with any blade, the 10537 is not intended to bear a side load. Please don’t use it as a screwdriver or to pry anything open. The same is true for any cutting tool. The 10537 ships in packs of four. While the 10537 (pointed tip) blade is optional, the 10596 or 10597 seam ripping tools come with a 10536 (rounded tip) blade installed. Slice blades are 100 percent recyclable where facilities exist. Or, mail your used blades to Slice’s headquarters in San Jose and we’ll recycle them there.
