BEWARE of false and misleading claims made by several online sellers of Shower Water FILTERS (made with KDF media, carbon or anything else) that they "soften" water. THEY DO NOT SOFTEN WATER! SOFTENING WATER REQUIRES THE REMOVAL OF CALCIUM AND MAGNESIUM which a shower FILTER is not capable of doing (see for yourself by using a hard water test kit). To obtain soft water in a shower you have to use a SOFTENER such as the ShowerStick shower water softener. It contains resin beads (as a whole house softener does) that work via Ion Exchange to remove hard water minerals. If you have psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis or just dry skin and/or hair, a softener will most likely give you much more relief than a filter. And since the ShowerStick's lifespan is up to 10 years, it ends up being less expensive in the long run than filters purchased every 6 months. And it does so much more!
A shower filter will remove chlorine which is beneficial, but many who try using a shower filter alone don’t end up happy with the results it gives since it doesn't soften the water. The ShowerStick is a “softener” since it removes hard water minerals which are known to be the major culprit when it comes to dry skin and hair issues. So the water from the ShowerStick will test as soft when using a hard water test but the water from a shower filter won't. The ShowerStick contains softening resin that works via "ion exchange" as a whole-house water softener does.

*We recommend that you add a KDF shower filter in-line with the ShowerStick if your water contains chlorine. This will protect the resin inside the ShowerStick to ensure it has a long lifespan. Please see our KDF shower filter listing under "See Other Items" (top right).
HOW IT WORKS:
The ShowerStick hooks up to a standard 1/2” American shower pipe. Similar to whole house water softeners, the ShowerStick contains resin beads which soften water through a process called “ion exchange”. The resin beads attract hard water minerals such as calcium and magnesium. As the minerals pass over the resin beads they stick to the surface of the beads which traps them inside the ShowerStick. After the resin beads collect all the minerals they can hold, the resin needs to be regenerated to flush out the hard water minerals the resin has collected. Regeneration is done by pouring a solution of salt (fine grain plain or iodized table salt) and water (mixed together in a one liter bottle) into the ShowerStick's regeneration port. On average, most of our customers determine they need to regenerate weekly. How often you need to regenerate depends on several factors such as the hardness of your water, the duration of each shower and your water pressure. The hard water test kit (included) will help you determine how often to regenerate.
REGENERATION
:
To regenerate, pour 1 cup of table salt (plain or iodized) into an empty 1 liter water or soda bottle, shake vigorously to dissolve the salt then pour inside the regeneration port opening. Detailed instructions come with your ShowerStick order or you can contact us through eBay.
INSTALLATION:

WARRANTY:

Contact Information:
You’re responsible for supplying us with your current email address and phone number on your order so that you’ll promptly be able to respond to any emails or phone calls from us, your customs office or your post office. If this information hasn’t been provided on your order, please message us so it can be added to the Customs paperwork we need to complete in order to ship your order.

UPS Notifications:
You’re responsible for keeping track of your order’s delivery progress and setting up notifications from UPS. You’ll receive an email from us with your UPS tracking number within 1 business day of ordering. After your package reaches the UPS distribution center (usually within 24hr) they’ll scan it and then you’ll be able to set up your notifications. Once your package is in the system, please follow these steps to set up notifications from UPS:
Go online to ups.com. Click on “Tracking” > “Tracking & Tracking History” > Enter your tracking # > Click on “Send Updates” > Click in 1 of the 2 circles:
#1) “For All Your Deliveries” – This allows you to become a UPS My Choice member to receive automatic updates about this delivery and future deliveries (this is free).
#2) “For This Delivery Only” – This allows you to receive automatic updates for this delivery only.
Then you’ll be able to enter your email address or phone number in order to receive email or text notifications regarding the progress of your package while in transit.

Customs Duties/Taxes/Charges:
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping and handling cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. If you want to find out what these charges will be, please contact your local customs office prior to placing your order. Usually within 24 hrs after your package reaches the UPS distribution center, Customs will indicate on your tracking that “Duties or taxes are due on this package”. Please follow their online instructions regarding how to pay (this should be done within 48hrs). After your payment is processed, you’ll usually receive your package in 4-5 days.

Returned Packages:
You’re responsible for paying the Customs fees for your package within the required time period per your Customs office’s policy (contact them for this information). Failure to do so will result in your package being returned to us (which they will charge us for). Once we receive your returned package, you can request a refund for your order, but you will not be refunded any amounts for shipping charges in either direction. Or, if you decide to have your order re-shipped, you will be responsible to pay for the shipping charges in both directions (for returned shipment and re-shipment) prior to your order being re-shipped. Also, if your post office is unable to deliver your package to you for any reason (incorrect address provided, etc.) and returns it to us, the same 2 options as above will apply.
