Roycroft hand hammered (?) copper arts and crafts bookends

We are selling the estate collection of a good friend, and this item is now fresh to market. He had several interesting Roycroft items which we have been listing this past week. This is a pair of beautiful arts and crafts hand-hammered Roycroft bookends. Technically, these don’t appear be “hammered” like the other items we are selling but maybe “hand-worked” would be a better way to say it. And I believe they are copper but am no metallurgist. They are in good condition with typical minor surface scratching as you can see in the photos.  I wanted to point out in the one photo showing the Roycroft mark on the base, when you hold that book and in just the right white angle, it looks like there’s a tiny bit of a band in the flat surface but it isn’t enough to detract. In fact I didn’t even notice until I was really scrutinizing each piece. The bookends  measure 5.5inches wide at the base, and 5 inches from the base to the top.  Please look at the photos and let me know if you have any questions or need more photos. Solid pieces and stamped with the beautiful Roycroft maker’s mark. Would look really cool on an arts and crafts desk or shelf.
