Rare Pennsylvania Antique Copper Apple Butter Kettle Cauldron 24" diameter

Description

Large Rare Antique 18th.c or Early 19th.c Pennsylvania Copper Kettle Apple Butter Cauldron (c. 1785-1814).  Signed on top rim "J.P. Schaum Lancaster PA" (see second picture).  Very rare to have a Lancaster,PA signed piece.  Has very solid dovetailed construction with a thick wrought iron bale handle attached with heavy rivets.  Top diameter is 24" & stands 16-1/2" tall.  In used antique condition with expected dings & dents, some rust to wrought iron & old fire patina, no holes, cracks or repairs.  Large size in good clean condition & ready to use if desired.  Please view the pictures.  Due to the very heavy weight & large size, free local pick-up only, also glad to work with the mover of your choice, Lancaster Pennsylvania, 17602.
