    Description

Rare ANTIQUE COPPER GLUE POT- 2 piece, #4, Pennsylvania c1800s.
    A scarce find
This is the #4 size pot - 4 1/4" diameter, 3 1/2" high. The inside pot is 2" diameter x 2 1/4 high. Note the number 4 marked on the bail bracket. These pots were made in various sizes with the largest 12" high. They were made by early coppersmiths using the dovetail method of brass filled construction, similar to a tea pot without a spout. This one is made in the style seen in Pennsylvania and likely made in the early 1800s. It was found in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
It is in amazingly good condition, with no issues - no left-over glue, no breaks, bumps or scratches - The patina is just as one wants to find it - a true piece of American history.
It will be shipped USPS Priority Mail in the USA.
