RARE AMERICAN c.1840 COPPER BRASS HAND MADE HUGE HOP SCOOP BEER INCREDIBLE HEAVY

A rare & lmportant c.1840 American Large & heavy copper hop scoop. The main bowl is all copper and hand hammered as you can see. It came from a Breweriana collector who bought this from a Large Milwaukee Brewery collection. This may be the only one that has survived all these years as this was used to scoop hops into large vats. It originally had a 8 foot heavy wood pole with handle that was used. It was cut down long ago and has a hole through the end of the wood so it can be hung. This is a special piece of Americana folk and brewing. Must weigh 10 pounds of hand hammer copper with some brass flux. The bowl itself measures 11 1/4" across and is 6" deep. The attached handle measures just shy of 8" long and is completely original. You can see where the copper handle ends and the wood handle begins. Great condition.
