Harley-Davidson "For 1940 The Motorcycle Supreme" Porcelain Sign.
    Size: 12 in x 8.5 in
    Weight: 1.6 lbs
    Condition is "New".
This Porcelain sign is still wrapped in its original shrink wrap. In a few places the shrink wrap has opened up but the sign underneath is in perfect condition. The shrink wrap has some dust and dirt on it but that's why it's there to protect the sign. Comes from a pet free smoke free home. I did not try to wipe the shrink wrap off before I took the pictures.   The colors on this sign are very vibrant and have a great look to it. The harley 1940 Orange is the image on the cover of the 1940 brochure entitled the motorcycle supreme. It was a brochure that advertised Harley Davidson motorcycles for police,  road racing, Hill climbing, and parade use. This brochure was used for promotion in both domestic and International markets. Andy Rooney porcelain advertising signs bring to life images of America from the turn of the century onward. These Made in the USA reproductions are hand made using a process popularized in the early 1900s. Please see pictures for full details.
