    Mother,
I take my pen in hand with wounded feeling to direct a few lines to your you been informed that you imbibed a belief that I had bad feeling towards you at your last visit at my house. Which information struck me with sorrowful feelings as I was aware that I had no just cause to treat you with no other respect then
    as a friend and mother.
The mystery is the relationship between the letter writer to the
    recipient.
    The letter is signed by
    Joseph Levis Worral 1819-1901
who was married to Susanna P. Garrett 1822-1911
Could the letter have been meant for his Mother-In-Law? The letter is a sincere apology about a misunderstanding.
