    Please email with any questions. Group of 21 19th century business letters and handwritten notes regarding orders sent to a hardware store in Macon, Georgia from Vienna, Georgia in Dooly County. Sending orders and merchandise via train or wagon was how business was conducted between Macon and Vienna. These date to from the 1850's to the1880's. Some pieces in the group are soiled. These pieces of ephemera were stored in top floor of the Macon hardware store building for over 100 years and show some dirt and soot stains. If you have early family history in Vienna then you might find some family members in this lot. Some names: McIver, McDaniel, Wilson, Whitsett, Holmes, Nicholson, Leonard, Busbee.
