    Description

    This early 20th century copper oval brazier pot is in very good condition, with no dents or cracks. It does have some minor dings around the top where a utensil would hit the top while cooking, and it has typical scratches customary for antique cookware. It is dovetailed down the side and around the bottom. It is polished, and has old re-tinning, showing some dark use marks along the inside, and having no copper showing through the tinning. It is large - 17” long without iron handles; 21 1/2” long with iron handles; 14” wide; 7 1/4” high; and it weighs 13 7/8 pounds. The iron handles are  connected to the body with original copper rivets. (see photo). It is also stamped on 2 sides: L. BARTH & SON 30-32 COOPER ST NEW YORK. L. Barth was at this address circa 1911-1918. (Note: Sometimes the shipping cost, especially on large pieces,  is overstated by the ebay calculator.
