    Description

This 19th century copper kettle is in excellent condition. It was purchased around 50 years ago in Lancaster County, PA, and has been on display indoors ever since. Heavy copper construction with hand-forged iron bale handle and handle supports. Three rivets on each side. The kettle is not marked, but is similar to the works of coppersmith J. P. Schaum of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, circa 1870-1890. The wooden paddle / stirrer might not be antique, but was also purchased in the 1970s.
    Dimensions: 17" H x 24" diameter. Capacity: Approximately 30 gallons.
Don't pass up this beautiful piece of American and Pennsylvania Dutch heritage!
