The Cricut Explore Deep Cut blade has a steeper blade angle (60 degrees vs. 45) and harder, more durable steel.
The deep cut blade and housing is recommended for cutting magnet, chipboard, stamp material, thick cardstock, stiffened felt, foam sheets, cardboard, fabric, and other thicker materials.
The Deep Cut blade housing is shorter than the regular blade housing to provide clearance for thicker materials up to 2.0mm.
