Astatic D-104 Electret Condenser Upgrade.. Condition is New. Here is my kit to upgrade your dead Astatic D-104. This will replace any model but will require a battery in a non amplified stand. many hours of trial has gone into finding the perfect element to reproduce natural voice sounds. No way I'm going to tell you this is Hi Fi. It is just simply impossible to do that with a microphone alone as others claim. This kit contains everything needed along with the instructions on installation. you will need a few simple tools and basic soldering skills to make it work. All wiring is correctly color coded. Foam to support the element is acoustic grade. it's not a piece of pool noodle hacked off with a steak knife nor a piece of car wash foam. It does make a difference in the way it directs sound to the element. There's also a windscreen provided. This kit has also been used by customers with great success in Turner microphones as well as hand mics. It was solely designed for the d104 but I'm getting reports that it works great in others also.
