Antique Hand Carved Amethyst Crystal Cameo 14k Gold Ring Tie Clip 13.5 Grams

This is a simply lovely very vintage antique early turn of the century ..1900’s hand carved amethyst crystal cameo ..she has a beautiful face and collar and is beautifully carved. This piece was converted to a tie clip . But before that it was a gorgeous antique ring ..they actually cut the ring part off and mounted by the sides to the tie bar. You can’t actually see this from the back and sides. The setting of the ring part is beautifully engraved on the sides , there is definitely some thick gold around the amethyst stone and wear the ring was cut off. The setting and the ring part test at 14 k yellow gold . The clip is gold filled and sighed Simmons. I feel like it was a mans mother’s ring and when she past he had in converted to a tie clip ..so he could wear it . The clip measures 2 3/4 inches long and almost 1/2 of a inch wide . The amethyst cameo and 14k gold setting measures 7/8 by 5/8 of a inch and is a bit over 1/3 inch thick. It weighs 13.5 grams . The stone and the gold part are heavy and my guess is it weighs at least half of the 13.5 grams and the other half in weight is the clip part.. please refer to the pictures and thanks for looking
