Antique Late 18th / Early 19th c. Copper Apple Butter Kettle~Approx 21" × 14+" (approx 20 gal.)

Hand made copper dovetail joints.
This kettle is a hand made Early American Apple Butter Kettle.
. I did a preliminary cleaning on the bottom interior to check the bottom joint integrity. See the second photo.
After the quick cleaning there was a reveal of an unusual impression or stamp near a dovetail joint.
Could possibly be a makers mark. See last photo.
The exterior has a soot finish from being used and it hasn’t been cleaned.
No holes or cracks detected.
Not without some repairs
though.
The iron ring attachments are aged (not 100% intact), but still are supporting the kettle and lifting half ring.
Repairs on the handle attachment on one side have been made.
Screws installed where rivots once existed for the iron ring handle.
There is an iron ring under the top rim of the kettle.
