    Description
Offered for your consideration is an antique 1/2 pint tankard or measure from, we would guess, the early 1900s.  Made of copper, the piece has markings, which would indicate that it was crafted in England.  There are 2 different locations at the top, one showing E (Crown) R, the second showing G (Crown) R, and a series of numbers to both of the aforementioned markings.  It is stamped at the top to indicate that it is a 1/2 pint measure.  There is also a hand scribed mark to the bottom of the vessel which reads 50 + 50    John D Dum????.  In very good 'as found' condition, there are no detected cracks, breaks, or repairs, but there is a slight flattened spot at the top of the handle and overall showing handling wear.  The base measures nearly 3" in diameter and it stands 4 1/2" tall.  It weighs 8 ounces and will ship at 1 pound as it will be boxed for protection.  A fine representative for the collector.  Auctions can be combined to save on shipping.  Thank you for viewing our listing.
