  • Condition: Onje envelope is 5 1/4 x 3 1/3 inches, address to General W. G. Le Duc, postmarked Hastings, Minn. 1904 on the front and Tacoma, Wash., 1904 on back, missing flap, no letter, 2 cent Washington stamp. The second envelope, 4 7/8 x 3 7/8 inches, is address to Miss William G. Le Duc, postmarked Washington 1897 on front and Hastings, Minn. 1897 on back. Some corner and edge wear on envelopes, some writing other than address, light stains. When the Civil War ended in 1865, LeDuc was discharged at the rank of brevet brigadier general and returned to Hastings.
